We are in the finals!

Last autumn within the framework of my author TV-project “Sever. True Stories” I organized a charity action “Live!”. Its aim was fundraising for purchase of medications for patients from the department of kidney transplantations of the Russian National Center of Surgery named after B.V. Petrovsky.

The matter is that the price of essential for life medications is higher than the state quotes, allocated to ill people with a moderate family budget. They have nothing to do but to count on charity donations.
Before we initiated the action we prepared a special news episode, where we informed about the problem and addressed to our viewers with a plea for help.
And it’s so pleasant that the 5-minute program, broadcasted on RU TV channel, became the finalist of All-Russian contest “TEFI – Union of word and kindness” 2017.
This year there was a record number of nominees for the competition. Our selfless work was highly appraised by the jury of the expert council, members of Russian Academy of Television: Yuri Kobaladze – deputy dean of the faculty of International journalism of MGIMO University and journalist Svetlana Sorokina.
Who will receive the award? We’ll know that at the solemn Awards Ceremony on the 17th of April. It doesn’t really matter if we don’t get the prize. The most important is that we will continue to do what we’ve started. Many more people need help!
