The 7th RU.TV Music Awards ceremony traditionally began with the red carpet.
But when did the red carpet become so significant? Of course, we can refer to Ancient Greek dramaturge Aeschylus who ordered the vengeful queen Climenestra to lay the “scarlet way” for her spouse coming back from the war. Or, for example, we can mention Hollywood film director Douglas Fairbanks – long ago, in 1922 before the premiere of his movie there was a red carpet in front of the cinema.
The red carpet in front of “Crocus City Hall” reminded of a trendy lipstick colour. There were more than enough celebrities on it to capture the imagination of the impatient public.
The way down the «star carpet» gives an opportunity to look closer at celebrities, their clothes and jewellery. Without preliminary agreement I and Philipp chose blue colour – the colour of eternity, sky and mystery.
At the end of the carpet there were places for mass media. Our couple managed to withstand the attacks of multiple mass media representatives. In front of our eyes flickered photo flashes and there was a cacophony of reporters’ voices, asking endless number of questions. If we take into consideration the duration of time spent with the press, I and Philipp can be regarded as the leaders of the Ceremony. The organizers were worried that we wouldn’t have time to change clothes before going onstage as there was live TV-broadcasting. But we had just enough time to get into dressing rooms and at 6:30 p.m. sharp we were behind the curtain of “Crocus City Hall” auditorium.
