One of the most prestigious annual events in the world of Russian show-business – the VIIth Russian Music RU.TV Awards, took place in Crocus City Hall on the 27th of May.
Such a grand event always has a pre-party – a smaller-scale, but also a very important and significant occasion. The matter is that only at the pre-party the organizers disclose the main intrigue of the upcoming event – they announce the hosts and the names of nominees.
On the 26th of April the pre-party gathered famous performers, artists and all people involved in the upcoming celebration.
I wasn’t invited at random. Year after year the organizers invite the most adored and famous artists to host the main Music Awards Ceremony. This year you could see as hosts onstage Loboda, Alexander Revva, Philipp Kirkorov and me, Elena Sever. Being invited to host such a prestigious ceremony is a responsible and honorable moment. I can’t hide my joy and I’m very grateful to RU.TV.
This year artists competed for the main prize – a Samovar-shaped statuette, in 14 nominations. Among the nominations are “The best start”, “The best band”, “The best duet”, “Cinema and Music”, “The best song” and many more.
There’s one more good news! A music video of Kiselev brothers known as singers UrKiss and VladiMir is presented in a special nomination of the VIIth Russian Music RU.TV Awards – “The best music video filmed in Crimea”. Video “Yedem v Krim” (“We’re going to Crimea”) was shot and edited by Ivan Sherstnicov. That was the first joint work of my sons. And as the presentation of the video was organized during the pre-party, my worries could be easily explained. However all worries were groundless. Vivid and dynamic video, shot in picturesque places of Crimea created a summer vacations mood among all guests, despite the rain outside.
Considering the reaction of the audience at the party and popularity of Crimean vacations with the Russians there are reasons to believe that the new song can become a new hit of this summer.
